Styx Coal Project

The Styx Coal Project is located in the Styx Coal Basin north of Rockhampton in Central Queensland, Australia.

The project is joint venture project between Waratah Coal and Queensland Nickel. The project is a small scale open cut with coal processing and rail infrastructure.

The project has ramped up exploration activities in recent months and commenced their mine pre-feasibility studies.

Exploration to date has confirmed significant mineral resources in multiple coal seams, confirming the presence of a high-quality PCI and Thermal coal resources.

The Styx Coal project is expected produce 1.0 to 2.0 million tonnes of product coal per annum
