PALMER WANTS PIECE OF COAL PORT ACTION

EOI FOR PORT OF ABBOT POINT TERMINALS 4-7

477160_1153934Waratah Coal Pty Ltd (“Waratah Coal” or the “Company”), an exploration and coal development company, has lodged an application with the North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation (NQBP) to bid for one tranche of the Port of Abbot Point Terminals 4-7 program.

Waratah Coal is focused on developing its proposed ‘Galilee Coal Coal Project’, which is located in the undeveloped Galilee Basin in Central Queensland. The $8 billion Galilee Coal Project includes a large scale thermal coal mine near Alpha, west of Emerald. The complex will include four underground mines, two surface mines and associated coal handling and processing facilities. The mine will be linked to a new coal terminal at Abbot Point near Bowen by a new 471km standard gauge, heavy haul railway line.

Waratah Coal is the coal development company of the Mineralogy Group. Mineralogy operates Queensland Nickel in Townsville as a wholly-owned subsidiary. INFASTRUCTURE FACILITY OF SIGNIFICANCE FOR WARATAH RAIL

Waratah Coal Pty Ltd (“Waratah Coal” or the “Company”), an exploration and coal development company, has lodged an application for the rail corridor of its proposed ‘Galilee Coal Project’ to be approved as an Infrastructure Facility of Significance (IFS).

The project is located in the undeveloped Galilee Basin in Central Queensland. The $8 billion project includes a large scale thermal coal mine near Alpha, west of Emerald. The complex will include four underground mines, two surface mines and associated coal handling and processing facilities. The mine will be linked to a new coal terminal at Abbot Point near Bowen by a new 471km standard gauge, heavy haul railway line.

The Office of the Coordinator-General has received Waratah’s IFS application for the rail corridor and a review is pending. Read more

MINING LEASE APPLICATION FOR WARATAH COAL PROJECT

474582_1149446 Waratah Coal Pty Ltd (“Waratah Coal” or the “Company”), an exploration and coal development company, announced that the Company, had lodged a Mining Lease Application with the Queensland Department of Mines and Energy.

Waratah Coal Pty Ltd has applied for a 35 year lease for their ‘Galilee Coal Project’, to mine for coal in an area of approximately 76,126 hectares within the Barcaldine Regional Council area, approximately 20km north-west of Alpha.

The Galilee Coal Project is located in the Galilee Basin in Central Queensland. The project is based on a contractual right to mine from Waratah Coal Pty Ltd. The right to mine is for up to 1.4 billion tonnes of raw coal from coal deposits in Queensland containing JORC compliant mineral resources of approximately 3.7 billion tonnes (including ore reserves of 1.1 billion tonnes of coal). MINERAL DEVELOPMENT LICENCE 455 FOR WARATAH COAL PROJECT

Waratah Coal Pty Ltd (“Waratah Coal” or the “Company”), an exploration and coal development company, has lodged an application for a Mineral Development Licence (MDL) for the ‘Galilee Coal Project, Northern Export Facility’.

The Galilee Coal Project is located in the undeveloped Galilee Basin in Central Queensland. The $8 billion Galilee Coal Project includes a large scale thermal coal mine near Alpha, west of Emerald. The complex will include four underground mines, two surface mines and associated coal handling and processing facilities. The mine will be linked to a new coal terminal at Abbot Point near Bowen by a new 471km standard gauge, heavy haul railway line. The mine and associated infrastructure will create 6,000 jobs during construction and 1,500 during operation.

The project tenements cover some 15,000 sq km with a strike extent of approximately 220km and down dip extent of approximately 80km. Read more

EIS FOR GALILEE COAL PROJECT

Waratah Coal Pty Ltd (“Waratah Coal” or the “Company”), an exploration and coal development company, is required to provide an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the ‘Galilee Coal Project, Northern Export Facility’.

The Galilee Coal Project is located in the Galilee Basin in Central Queensland. The project is based on a contractual right to mine from Waratah Coal Pty Ltd. The right to mine is for up to 1.4 billion tonnes of raw coal from coal deposits in Queensland containing JORC compliant mineral resources of approximately 3.7 billion tonnes (including ore reserves of 1.1 billion tonnes of coal).

The Coordinator-General has declared the project to be a ‘significant project’ under the SDPWO Act for which an EIS is required and the Commonwealth Government has declared the project to be a controlled action requiring an EIS. The approval of the EIS for the project is required from the Coordinator-General and the Minister for the Environment.

RESOURCEHOUSE AND CHINA RAILWAY GROUP SIGN EPC CONTRACTOR FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT

Resourcehouse Limited (“Resourcehouse” or the “Company”), an international diversified resources company is pleased to announce today that the company has entered into a non-legally binding China Railway Group Limited (“CREC”)in relation to the appointment of CREC as the EPC contractor for the construction of the rail and associated infrastructure for the Galilee Coal Project, Northern Export Facility.

CREC is an integrated construction group in the PRC principally engaged in the infrastructure construction, including railways, highways, bridges, tunnels, metropolitan railways such as subway and light railways, buildings, irrigation works, hydroelectricity projects, ports, docks, airports and other municipal works.

RESOURCEHOUSE AND CHINA POWER INTERNATIONAL HOLDING SIGN COAL EXPORT DEAL

Resourcehouse Limited (“Resourcehouse” or the “Company”), an international diversified resources company, announced that China First Pty Ltd, the wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, entered into the Sino-Australian Coal Purchase and Supply Agreement with China Power International Holding Limited (“China Power International Holding”) in relation to the sale of thermal coal produced from the Galilee Coal Project, Northern Export Facility today.

Galilee Coal Project has agreed to sell to China Power International Holding and China Power International Holding has agreed to purchase from Galilee Coal, in each contract year for a supply period of 21 years from the date of first shipment (i) 50% of the thermal coal produced from the date of first shipment to the earlier of the commencement of full production of 40 Mtpa or 30 months from the first shipment, and (ii) 20Mtpa thereafter.

RECOURCEHOUSE SELECTS CHINA COMMUNICATIONS CONSTRUCTION AS EPC CONTRACTOR FOR GALILEE COAL PROJECT

Resourcehouse Limited (“Resourcehouse” or the “Company”), an international diversified resources company, entered, entered into a memorandum of understanding with China Communications Construction Company Ltd. (“China Communications Construction”) in relation to the engineering, procurement and construction (“EPC”) contract for the construction of the port facilities and associated infrastructure for the Galilee Coal Project, Northern Export Facility.

China Communications Construction is a large transportation infrastructure group in the PRC principally engaged in the design and construction of transportation infrastructure, dredging and heavy machinery manufacturing. It is a leading port construction and design company in the PRC.

XI JINPING AND KEVIN RUDD WITNESS SIGNING OF GALILEE COAL PROJECT COOPERATION AGREEMENT
